TOGETHER, WE CAN BUILD 20 HOMES IN SANDY CREEK

Over 79 homes and 10 lives were lost in Sandy Creek in the early morning of July 5, 2025, leaving families stranded, displaced and in desperate need of support. Rebuild Sandy Creek is dedicated to restoring hope and rebuilding homes in this area of Leander, Texas, following the devastating flood disaster. By focusing exclusively on Sandy Creek, we pledge transparency, accountability, and impactful change as we work together to rebuild stronger, safer, and more resilient homes and lives. Our team met with boots on the ground in the days following July 5 in Sandy Creek. We're volunteers and neighbors on a mission to bring hope and dignity to those who lost everything by raising funds, recruiting teams and creating programming to rebuild homes for those who need it most.

Q: What is Rebuild Sandy Creek?

A: Rebuild Sandy Creek is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization formed after the Sandy Creek floods on July 5th. We mobilized to help affected families with cleanup and supplies. Today, our mission continues: rebuilding homes, restoring hope, and strengthening community.

Q: When and why was it started?
A: Within days of the floods, we organized thousands of volunteers and began coordinating direct relief and clean up. Our mission has grown into a long-term rebuild initiative to help families recover completely.

Q: Is Rebuild Sandy Creek a registered nonprofit?
A: Yes. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Q: Who runs Rebuild Sandy Creek?

A: We’re a fully volunteer-led team - local residents, business owners, and community partners who believe every dollar should go directly to helping families rebuild.

Projects & Impact

 

Q: How many families have you helped so far?

A: During our high-volume volunteer days, we assisted more than five families per day with cleanup and immediate relief. To date, we’ve supported dozens of households and are preparing to begin full home rebuilds. Your support helps us assist more families.

A: Our primary mission is to rebuild homes for families affected by the Sandy Creek floods.

 

Q: When will rebuilding start?

A: We’re close to beginning our first full home rebuild. Once construction begins, our plan is to use the momentum and visibility from each completed home to raise funds and accelerate the next.

A: 100% of donations go toward rebuilding efforts.  

 

Q: Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?

A: Absolutely. Rebuild Sandy Creek can provide a tax-deductible receipt for every donation, whether monetary or in-kind.

 

Q: Can I donate materials or services instead of money?

A: Yes! Building supplies, equipment, skilled labor, and local business partnerships are INVALUABLE. Please contact us if you’d like to contribute materials or services.

A: Yes. We collaborate with local groups including the Lions Club, the HOPE center, and several community-driven businesses who share our mission of rebuilding lives with dignity.
